How do I purchase a Dillon Gym membership?

Gym memberships are available for those over 18 years of age to purchase.  Pricing is determined by your relationship to Princeton University.  Princeton University students receive FREE access to Dillon Gym, and therefore do not need to purchase a membership. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, or check.

A gym membership allows the use of Dillon Gym (Main Floor, Group Fitness Room, Multipurpose Room, Cardio Annex, Martial Arts Room, Dance Studio), Dillon Pool, Dillon Squash Courts, Stephens Fitness Center, locker and shower facilities. DeNunzio Pool, Baker Rink and Jadwin Gym Indoor Track are also included, but are subject to availability.

We do not offer a pool only membership.

What are the facility hours of operation?

During the academic year, hours are generally between 6:30am – 12:45 am Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 12:45am Saturdays and Sundays. Hours do change during holidays and break periods. Please visit Facility Hours for the current schedule.

How do I get assigned a locker for my use?

Lockers are available on a yearly or daily basis. See the front desk staff in the Dillon Gym lobby for a locker assignment. We do not provide towel service at Dillon Gym. Please visit our Facility Use Policies for more specific information.

Does Dillon/Stephens Fitness Center have a lost and found area?

Yes, lost items for Dillon Gym are kept in a secure area near the front desk in the Dillon Gym lobby. For Stephens Fitness Center, please see their desk attendant.

Can I purchase a Guest Pass for visitors?

Can I purchase a Guest Pass for visitors?

Yes, Guest Passes can be purchased at the front desk in Dillon Gym. There is a $10.00 fee per guest of a membership holder or student.  If paying in cash you must have exact change. (In both cases, the guest must be accompanied by the sponsoring member or student.)  Alumni and Faculty/Staff can self-sponsor themselves as a guest for $10. Can I check out sports equipment for use in the facilities?

Can I check out sports equipment for use in the facilities?

Yes, a wide variety of equipment is available at no charge for use in the facilities. Equipment items range from basketballs, swim or racquetball goggles to ping pong paddles and balls. You will be required to leave your PUID until you return the equipment. There is a fee for squash racquets and balls.

Where can I park?

Where can I park?

With the exception of handicap parking, there is no parking available at Dillon Gym itself. Visitors may park on campus in the closest Visitors Parking area, Lot 23, and walk or take the shuttle up to Dillon Gym.  Please see the Campus Visitor Map for details. Metered street parking is available on University Place or Nassau Street.

A gym membership is required to register for all Instructional Programs with the exception of Figure Skating and Tennis.  Members can register and purchase online. Please visit Group Fitness for more information.

Yes, we have a number of personal trainers who are available and can be hired at a relatively nominal cost. Please visit Personal Training for more information.

While we do not offer a trial for the gym we do have some options available. Faculty/Staff and Alumni may self-sponsor themselves for a $10 guest fee. We also offer One Time Class Passes to try one of our classes. Please visit our Facility Use Policies for more information.

During the first full week of each semester, Group Fitness and Instructional classes are offered free to Students, Faculty/Staff and Dillon Gym Members.

Do I need a membership to use the Tennis Courts?

Do I need a membership to use the Tennis Courts?

No, a gym membership is not required to use the tennis courts, but a tennis permit is needed to reserve court time. Tennis permits are sold ONLY at Jadwin Gym. The outdoor tennis courts at the Lenz Center are available for both members of the University and the surrounding community at no charge, subject to availability. The lights are solely for the use of Varsity and Sport Club teams. Please visit Informal Recreation for more information.
