The Tiger Trot for Hunger 5k Run/Walk is an annual event, hosted by Princeton University Campus Recreation, to benefit Arm In Arm - a local non-profit organization that helps Mercer County citizens in need of food, housing, and job support.
General Race Info
Entry & Registration Information:
This event is open to anyone who wants to join, and there is no entry fee. However, monetary or non-perishable food donations are accepted in lieu of an event entry fee.
The 2024 Tiger Trot will be held on Friday, November 22, at 3pm. More details to come!
Two Ways to Participate
- Option 1: Run/walk the course on Princeton University's Campus
- Option 2: Run/walk your 5k anywhere around the world with the RaceJoy app!
Create/Join a Team
During the registration process, you may search for an existing team or take lead and become a group/team captain.
- NEW TEAM: Add a team name and you can share the link to your group.
- JOIN TEAM: Search for the specific team name and join.
Donations:
Every year the Tiger Trot for Hunger 5k Run/Walk donates non-perishable food items and monetary donations to benefit Arm In Arm. Please read below carefully, because we want your donation to count!
Monetary or non-perishable food donations are accepted in lieu of an event entry fee and are not required for participation.
- In-Person Main Event Participants
- Please bring your non-perishable food item(s) and/or monetary donation (used to purchase fresh fruit/vegetables) to the Class of 1986 Fitness and Wellness Center Lobby on Thursday, 11/21 from 10am - 2pm.
- Virtual Participants
- Click the "Donate Here" button during registration if you would like to make a monetary donation. Select your custom donation amount, and complete the payment information as a part of the event registration process. This donation is collected through runsignup.com and then will be transferred to Arm In Arm.
Race Amenities:
- Receive a bib for the in-person race or print-your-own bib if you're competing virtually.
- In-person race bibs will be picked up on designated dates/times (TBA).
- The first 200 individuals to pre-register* for our in-person event through the official registration system (RunSignUp.com) will receive a Tiger Trot shirt!
- *Donations made will not change the eligibility of receiving a shirt.
- NOTE: We tend to hit our 200 person mark within the first week of registration.
Race Results

Race results will be professionally timed and found on the Bryn Mawr Racing Co. Results.
Awards
Certificates of completion will be given to anyone who submits their race times (for both runners & walkers). We will award Intramural Champion t-shirts to the department or affiliation group that has the most participants to complete the 5k.
