Event Description

This class will provide common-sense information and advice for fitness enthusiasts who are over the age of 40 or are approaching 40.  Even those who are in their 20s can learn why they're never too young to think about their older selves.

Shane Woolf '94, MD, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with additional training in orthopaedic sports medicine.  He spent nearly 16 years in academic practice and later joined Charleston Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Centers in South Carolina.  His clinical interests include shoulder and knee problems in active and athletic individuals of all ages, including rotator cuff disorders, shoulder instability, throwing shoulder injuries, shoulder arthritis and replacement, knee instability, anterior cruciate ligament injury (ACL), meniscus tears and cartilage injuries.  He earned his bachelor of science degree in molecular biology from Princeton University in 1994 – where he was a member of the wrestling team – and his medical degree from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 1998.  Dr. Woolf resides in Charleston with his family and a loyal old lab retriever.
