Colt has been a personal trainer at Princeton University since September 2005.
He has more than 40 years of experience in the health and fitness field as an educator, an administrator and a personal trainer. This includes employment in corporate fitness for Johnson & Johnson; management positions at several New York Sports Clubs for Town Sports International; and personal training at New York Sports Clubs, Union County College. Also, he has held faculty positions in exercise science at Rutgers University and Northeastern University.
Colt has earned accreditation as a Certified Senior Fitness Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a Certified Personal Trainer by NASM. He’s a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and received training by that organization in Exercise is Medicine: Exercise Prescription Essentials.
Highly educated, Colt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Suffolk University; a Master of Business Administration degree in management from Rutgers University; a Master of Education degree in physical education from Boston University; and a Doctor of Education degree in health education from Boston University. He also pursued work as a Post Doctorate, Research Associate in exercise physiology at the Harvard Medical School.
Colt retired from Princeton University in Jan 2023 but has remained in a part-time capacity as a Dillon Gym Building Supervisor.
