Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of 3 movements: squat, bench, and deadlift. Athletes typically train 3-5x/week, performing a combination of the competition movements and accessory exercises like pullups, dips, ab work, and bodybuilding exercises.
If you’re a beginner: we can show you how to lift safely and effectively, and advise you on nutrition.
If you’re a novice: we can show you how to train for maximal strength, guide your programming, and introduce you to the techniques and equipment used by the strongest people in the world.
If you’re thinking of competing: we can help prepare you for your first powerlifting meet, take you there, coach you through the meet, and take you to Nationals if you qualify!
The Princeton Powerlifting Club promotes safe and effective strength training in a recreational to competitive environment. All levels are welcome, including those who have never lifted weights before. The club competes in 3-4 Powerlifting meets each year.
